Donald Grover Gress, 75, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away onFebruary 26, 2025, at KU Heart Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Born on March 12, 1949 in Bethel, Kansas, Donald was a husband, father, and brother. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susie Bernard Gress, and their son, Samuel Gress. He is also survived by three sisters: Elaine Gress, Bernadette Bunkers, and Rosemary Gress, all of Excelsior Springs, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donald was the owner of Don’s Drywall and Construction and worked alongside his wife in running Bernard’s Restaurant, Bernard’s Pit Stop at the Kansas State Fair, as well as Catering & Concessions. His strong work ethic and dedication to his family and business will always be remembered. Donald’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
