Jay M "Bud" Davis | 1944 - 2025 |

Jay M. “Bud” Davis, 80, went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born October 13, 1944, in Manila, Arkansas to Milford and Margaret (Porter) Davis.

Jay worked for Krause Plow for ten years and also at Borton Inc. for fifteen years retiring as a truck driver.  He then worked for Reno County as a truck driver before retiring yet again.  Unable to just sit at home, Jay was a driver for Midwest Superstore before retiring again at the age of 80!

On May 25, 2002, Jay married JoNell Stenson in Hutchinson.  They shared 22 years together.

Jay enjoyed traveling with his wife, camping and fishing.  But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jay is survived by his: wife, JoNell; daughters, Lori (Gary) Algrim of Nickerson, Shelly (Scott) Powell of Hutchinson, Debra Davis (Alan Goetz) of South Hutchinson, and Pam (Curtis) Mitchell of Hutchinson; sons, Michael Nyberg of Stanly, ND and Raymond Stenson of Enderlin, ND; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Quian; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his: parents; first wife, Bonnie L. (Daines) Davis; siblings, Jeff Davis and Wendy Brayton; and grandson, Payton Mitchell.

Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 am Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Haven Baptist Church, 502 E. 4th St, Haven, KS, 67543.  Pastor Chris Powell will be officiating.
