YODER, Kan. — According to a letter sent out by Yoder Charter School principal Shannon Atherton, he would like to invite those interested in helping the school to a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the school.
There will be a public hearing on the future of the Haven district March 6 at 6 p.m. in front of the Board of Education.
Atherton said, "The board is looking at options to restructure the district and potentially Yoder Charter School."
Ice cream sandwiches will be provided at the conversation as the community comes together to decide how to best present Yoder Charter School's value to the board.
Atherton said that even if you have a scheduling conflict with the Ice Cream Conversation, plan to attend the board meeting March 6.
"If you're not comfortable speaking in public, written comments will be accepted," Atherton said. "Let's fill the room in support of Yoder Charter School."
