Concealed carry class to meet again this month

Posted Feb 06, 2023 11:26 AM

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Central Kansas concealed carry instructor will be holding another class in Hutchinson later this month.

Kansas is both a Constitutional Carry state and an open carry state, but according to a law enacted in 2021, 18, 19 and 20 year old Kansans can carry concealed, if they are otherwise eligible to own firearms and have taken an eight-hour handgun safety and training course, which is commonly known as the Kansas concealed carry class.

Prospective carriers have to apply for a license with the Kansas Attorney General's office and be approved before they can legally carry concealed.

Also, some other states require a license to carry concealed, if you travel into their state.

Contact instructor Mike Jordan at (620) 875-1650 for more information and the fee schedule for the class. The class is scheduled for Feb. 18.
