HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Parents of USD 308 kindergartners for the 2023-24 school year are invited to attend an in-school district-wide Kindergarten Countdown from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 in all the district’s neighborhood elementary schools. This is a come-and-go event designed for students to get pre-enrolled and to meet school staff.
This is for any child who will be 5 on or before Aug. 31, 2023.
If you are new to the district, or would like to check what school your child will be attending, the map is here. For Graber and McCandless students, the boundary has changed since last year.
There will be a separate event for Hutchinson STEM Magnet School at Allen. New kindergartners whose families would like for them to attend Allen are asked to attend the Kindergarten Countdown at their neighborhood school and ask for an application for Allen. The Allen event will be May 2 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Families are asked to go on social media and “follow” their school’s page and download the USD 308 mobile app to stay updated with their child's school and district events.
