BUHLER, Kan. — Buhler USD 313 and its teachers have a new contract for the next school year. After teachers approved the contract when voting ending on Monday, the school board gave its nod to the contract during a special meeting Tuesday evening.
The total wage and benefit package is a 5.67% increase to teachers. Under the new agreement, teachers will see a $600 increase to the base salary and column movement, supplemental experience movement, and an additional $300 to supplemental base. The new contract includes insurance premium increases.
The board also approved changes in classified salary wages as presented and an overall 5.2% financial package increase. This includes wages and insurance premium increases, and the board administrative wage increase totaling 5.82% including wages and insurance premium increases.
