Kansas State Fair
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas State Fair announced Friday that Connie Schmitt, Director of Sponsorship & Marketing is retiring.
According to the fair, during her tenure, Connie was instrumental in initiating the Veteran’s/Military Appreciation Breakfast, honoring our service members, and Christian concert night, that is now a staple in the annual concert series.
She also made it possible, through sponsorships with the fair's partners, to have the LED screens placed throughout the Fairgrounds and on the west side of the Grandstand.
The fair said her greatest achievement has been establishing the Kansas Lottery Chiefs Red Friday and bringing the Super Bowl Trophy to the Kansas State Fair.
Schmitt was with the fair for 17 years.
