Otis Melvin Trimble |1955-2023|

Otis Melvin Trimble, 67, passed away April 3, 2023, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, December 18, 1955, to Louie David and Alvina (Flowers) Trimble. They lived in Texas for two weeks before moving to Wichita. Otis was a lifelong resident of Wichita, Ks.  When Otis was just nine years old his father passed away and two years later his mom. After their passing, he was welcomed into the loving home of Bessie and Armour McGuire and their four boys, Bill, Jack, Charlie and Harold.  Otis graduated from North High School in 1974. He married Anita Beckley in 1979 and they were together for 43 years. Otis worked for Coleman for 17 years and finished his career at Sedgwick County spending 22 years there.

Otis loved watching his Kansas City Chiefs, collecting baseball cards, bowling with his cousin Danny Duree and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his great nieces and nephew Emilia, Sophia, Layla and Parker and all  special family and friends.

Otis is survived by his wife, Anita, his brothers Harold McGuire and Jack (Darlene) McGuire, sisters-in-law Delialah (Jim) Aubert, Cathy (Leroy Wedeking) Aubert, Terri (Tim) Norris, Diane Beckley and brother-in-law Noel Forsyth.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents, his second set of parents, his brothers Bill McGuire and Charlie McGuire, brothers-in-law Jim Beckley and Tommie Beckley, sisters-in-law Ann McGuire, Diane McGuire, Alberta Snell and Arlene Forsyth and nephews Wesley McGuire and Dennis McGuire.

Visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, April 11, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Baker Funeral Home, 100 S Cedar Ave, Valley Center, Ks. Services will be Wednesday, April 12, at 10:00 am at The Ark Church, 5501 N Maize Rd, Maize, Ks. Burial will be at Kechi Cemetery, 6523 N Hillside Ave, Wichita, Ks. Dinner and celebration of Otis’s life will be after the services at River Edge Venue, 1600 W 61st St N, Wichita, KS.

Otis, you will always be in my heart and soul. I love you very much. Until we meet again.
