Michael L. “Mike” Pettay, 62, of Hutchinson, died January 31, 2024, at his home. He was born May 27, 1961, in Hutchinson, to Carol J. and Ramona L. (McDaniel) Pettay.
Mike enjoyed painting houses and listening to rock and roll music.
He is survived by: his brother, Larry Pettay (Debra Musfelt) of Ohiowa, NE; nephew, Joshua Pettay, (Jennifer) of South Hutchinson; uncles, Jack Pettay (Viola) and Everett Pettay, all of Hutchinson; and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside service for Michael and his father, Carol, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Eastside Cemetery, 500 South Cleveland, Hutchinson. Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
