ALLEN COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Monday in Allen County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reporrted a 2015 Ford F150 driven by Jerri Linn Francis, 58, Chanute, was southbound on U.S. 169 just east of 150th Street. The pickup crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2019 GMC Sierra driven by Rogers II, Charles Edward Rogers II, 19, Iola, head-on.
Francis was pronounced at the scene. EMS transported Rogers to Wesley Medical Center. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the crash, according to the KHP.
