Dianne Kay (Watkins) Surface-Deckard, 72, of Marquette, KS, died October 20, 2022.
She was born November 24, 1949, in Rapid City, South Dakota, the daughter of Virgil and Charlotte Watkins.
She was a 1967 graduate of Marquette High School.
On June 10, 1967, Dianne was united in marriage to Bradley Lowell Surface in Garnett. He preceded her in death in 2006.
On July 5, 2008, Dianne was united in marriage to James Wesley Deckard. He survives.
Dianne loved quilt-making, sewing, spending time with family and her two loving dogs.
Other survivors include her two sons, Michael Surface and wife, Wendy (Swisher), of Topeka, KS and Greg Surface and wife, Victoria (Goss), of Marquette, KS; two-stepsons, Jeremy Deckard and wife, Amy (Hammerschmidt), of Topeka, KS and Chad Deckard and wife, Tere (Bertrand), of Assaria, KS; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one nephew, Brandon Watkins; and one sister, Linda Bowen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, a brother, Jim Watkins, and a nephew, Jeremy Watkins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2022, at the Marquette United Methodist Church, 404 W. 2nd Street, Marquette, KS. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 25, at the Marquette United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Marquette Cemetery.
