HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The next Saturday Night at the Y will actually be at Salt City Splash in July.
"Actually on the 13th at six o'clock, we will be having our event at Salt City Splash," said David Foster with the Hutchinson YMCA. "Thanks to Tony and the great folks at Hutch Rec for hosting us out there. It's for anybody and everybody that's been to a Saturday night at the Y already this school year, or if this would be your first one, we will have registration forms that parents just need to fill out on site, and that will get you into the event."
It's a free community-based event for any sixth, seventh, and eighth grader in Hutchinson and Reno County.
"It would be anyone that just finished sixth, seventh, or eighth grade," Foster said. "Our new school year will actually start in October."
This is a regular event for Reno County middle schoolers.
"It's generally the second Saturday of every month," Foster said. "We'll have a new calendar out, there may be one or two exceptions throughout the year, but we usually try to get that calendar out in advance so everybody knows the days and times that we'll be meeting each month."
