Henry Ronald Heft  |1936-2022| 

Henry Ronald Heft, 86, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at Pratt Health and Rehab. He was born on March 16, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Henry and Lillian (Kozak) Heft. Henry married Barbara L. (Erickson) on 2/9/1956. She preceded him in death on November 28, 2000. He later married Marilyn Joan (Gardner) Heft on January 31, 2004 in Wasilla, Alaska. They were married for 18 years.

Henry worked as an Ironworker and safety inspector in construction, Operated the Blue Grouse Drive-in on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, and NTM’s used household goods in Pratt. He enjoyed woodworking and writing poetry.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Turon; children, John (Marie) Heft of Nikiski, Alaska, Jennifer Davies of Sandia Park, New Mexico, Adam (DJ) Heft of Dixon, California, Holly (Robert) Stokes of Snohomish, Washington and Allyson (Alan) Hodak of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; sisters, Patricia D'Anza and Cynthia Burke both of Schaumburg, Illinois and Linda (David) Plesh of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Henry Leonard Heft, Jonna Dolge and Lydia, Eleanor, Josephine, Cara and Madelyn Hodak; 5 great-grandchildren; and stepdaughter, Barbara Neslund.

Henry is preceded in death by his son, Henry Heft Jr., father, Henry Heft; mother, Lillian Coyne; son-in-law, William Dolge; son-in-law, Richard Davies; and sister, Jacque Christofolo.

A family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
