Police work to ID suspects in shooting that injured Kan. teen

SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting that critically injured a teen.

Just before 11p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to a shooting in the 5000 block of East Osie in Wichita, according to Officer Charlie Ditch.

First responders located the an 18-year-old man unconscious and not breathing.

Officers began life saving measures and the victim was transported to an area hospital in extremely critical condition, according to Ditch.

The investigation revealed that the victim had a verbal altercation with two male suspects. One suspect shot the victim in the upper body.

This suspect is described to be 20-30 years-old and the second male suspect is described to be 18-20 years old. Both were last seen fleeing on foot southwest from the area.
