City asks residents to take tree limbs to landfill

Posted Dec 21, 2021 10:29 PM

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The City of Hutchinson will not be picking up limbs or debris from last week's wind storm. The city announced that it will not have drop-off depots as in the past. According to Public Works, there is simply not enough debris to warrant the drop-off sites. You are asked to take your branches to the landfill.

The Parks Department did announce it will have the usual Christmas tree drop-off sites again this year. The sites will open Monday, Dec 27, and be located at the Salt City Splash parking lot and at the Rice Park shelter house. Make sure all tinsel and ornaments are removed before dropping off your Christmas tree.
