HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Art Center announced that artwork made during this year's Kids Summer Art Camp will be on display in the backroom area through August 31st.
Led by art teacher Cinde Smith, each day art camp students learned about a new artist from history, talked about how and why the artist created art the way they did, and then created a project based on that artist’s work.
The students developed their art production skills (drawing, painting, collage and sculpture), learned about the elements of art and the principles of design, and had the opportunity to solve problems and express themselves creatively.
