RENO COUNTY, Kan. — Rural fire crews were responding Tuesday afternoon just before 2 p.m. to multiple small grass fires near the K and O railroad tracks east of Yoder.

The relative humidity at the Hutchinson airport was just 28% as of 1:52 p.m.

Thanks to a quick call to dispatch, the fires were under control in about a half hour.
