HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Clayworks at Disability Supports has several events lined up for the holiday season, the first of those is this Saturday from 3-5 p.m.
"All of our 31 artists are going to be here,"Clayworks Studio Program Manager Kristine McKeown said. "Not all of them but the majority of them, and we do a reception. We are going to have hors d'oeuvres and Santa is going to be here."
The artists will be at Midtown Gallery on Saturday afternoon for a Christmas Market Artist Reception. Art mediums featured in the gallery include glass, mosaics, jewelry, crochet, pottery, painting, macramé, wood, leather and sewing.
Photo-ops with Santa will also be available at Clayworks McPherson on Dec. 16 from 9:30-11 a.m. and Dec. 22 from 10 a.m.-noon. Clayworks Hutchinson will have Santa come by for visits and photos on Dec. 23 from 10 a.m.-noon.
On the third Thursday of this month, Clayworks Hutchinson will host another artists reception. The event is on Dec. 21 at 5 p.m and Santa will be present.
"Basically what that means is that every third Thursday, in the gallery we always have an event," McKeown said. "Where we've got the artists and so that's a nice little story to let you know people know because there are artists from all over Kansas and we have a myriad different mediums."
