Susan Earlene Everhart, 79, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Angel Arms, McPherson. Earlene was born on March 18, 1943, in Emporia, KS, the daughter of Earle Conrad and Ethel Mae (Bess) Byers.
Earlene graduated from Central Academy and Central College before attending Kansas State University. On February 7, 1965, Earlene was united in marriage to Denis J. Everhart in Ottawa, KS.
She was a member of McPherson Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include: her loving husband, Denis; a son, James Everhart (Terri) of McPherson, KS; three grandchildren, Clayton, Joshua, and Megan Everhart; sisters-in-law, Deana Larson (Richard) of McPherson, KS and Donna Huddle (Gail) of McPherson, KS; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at McPherson Free Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time, Wednesday, at the church.
