
Debra Louise Hawkins, 67, died Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born June 24, 1958 in Hutchinson, to James Arthur and Lydia (Weilert) Fraser.
Debra attended Hutchinson High School and then went on to pursue her education at Hutchinson Community College. In her earlier years, Debra was an entrepreneur and business owner in diverse sectors. Her work ethic was truly inspiring. Later on, she became a homemaker to fully dedicate her time to raising her family. Some of Debras hobbies include, shopping, playing bingo and gardening. Visiting casinos in Las Vegas and going on cruises with family and friends filled her with joy. Most importantly, Debra loved time spent with her children and grandchildren.
On October 31, 1989, she married Bobby Craig Hawkins, in Hutchinson. They shared over 35 years of marriage.
Debra is survived by: her husband, Bobby Hawkins; children, Robert (Sandy) Baker, Ray (Shauna) Baker, and Kari Baker; sisters, Judith (Ron) Baker, Ann (Larry) Swanson, and Cindy (Eric) Ervin; grandchildren, Trevor (Krista) Hoheisel, Emily Baker, Austin (Novalie) Baker, Samantha (Nate) Baker, Lyndsey (Billy) Petrihos, Ryan (Brenna) Allen, and Tanner Allen; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has taken place. Rosary will be at 11 a.m. and funeral liturgy at 11:30 a.m. both on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary, with Father Andrew Meng officiating. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
