HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After a two week delay the Apple Lane bridge project is finally set to begin on Monday. The project was to start February 8, but two weeks of bitterly cold weather pushed the project back to February 22.
Work includes removing the old wooden span north of 17th Avenue and then replacing it with a box culvert. Plans are to completely reconstruct Apple Lane later this summer.
