James Rayburn Crandall (Jim) 78, quietly passed away Thursday, December 15th, 2022. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones that were always the center of his life.
Jim was a retired Beechcrafter with 43 and a half years of service. He was able to enjoy his retirement doing the many things he enjoyed, including motorcycle trips, hunting and fishing and most of all spending time at the family land called the Hideout. Jim was a loving and adoring husband, the most amazing father, the best Grandpa, and a friend for life with anyone he ever met. The best times were around a warm fire, a cold drink and good company. There were so many stories to tell.
Jim was preceded in death by his father Dillon, mother Dorothy, brother Dillon, and sister Marsha. He is survived by his wife Diane, sons Shawn and Jamey, daughter in laws, Dee Ann and Emily, grandchildren Dillon, Carolyn, Mia, John and Jameson and great grandson Karis.
Jim's wishes were not to have any service or viewing at this time but to have a Celebration of Life event at the Hideout, to be planned and announced at a later date. It will be another amazing opportunity to get together with family and friends, burn some wood, lift a glass and tell all the stories of his amazing life.
Baker Funeral Home Valley Center is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerfhvc.com.
