
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities have recovered an industrial-size smoker that was stolen from Hog Wild Pit BBQ in the 200 block of South West Street in Wichita around midnight on March 29, according to a media release from Wichita Police.
Detective Dustin Fussell with the Property Crimes Division recovered the smoker valued at $25,000 dollars.
According to police, Fussell had very few leads on the case but by following his instincts and his undeniable persistence, he was able to locate the smoker and identify the suspects involved in the theft.
Police released no additional details as the investigation continues and the case is sent to the district attorney’s office.
