HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Meteorologists from the National Weather Service office in Wichita will be presenting information that will help prepare storm spotters and weather enthusiasts for the upcoming storm season in Hutchinson on Thursday.
"We'll talk about different types of storms, different parts of a storm, different features on the storm, how severe they can be," said Acting Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the Wichita NWS Office, Vanessa Pearce. "Looking for some of those different features to determine their severity. Also, weather safety, what to do and how to respond if you see these type of storms."
Thursday's event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Fire Command and Training Center at 3201 E. 4th Ave.
