Robert William “Bob” Demoret, 81, died June 7, 2024, at Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX. He was born November 6, 1942, in Hutchinson, to William Robert and Lola Fern (Uncapher) Demoret.
Bob graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Junior Community College. He proudly served in the Kansas Army National Guard 35th Divarty, Headquarters Batty, for 23 years and 10 months as a First Sergeant, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Bob also retired from KDOT after 41 years of service. After retirement, he worked three years at Cook-Flatt and Stroble Engineers, out of Topeka, on the Kellogg Road in Wichita. Bob was a member of the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68 and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.
On June 11, 1967, he married Vicki Jean Ary, at the Christian Church in Lewis, KS. Bob and Vicki lived in Hutchinson most of their married life, and recently moved to Texas, to be closer to family.
Bob is survived by: his wife of almost 57 years, Vicki; daughter, Darcy (Lance) Lindsey of all of Burkburnett, TX; grandchildren, Paxton Robert Demoret and Layla Jean Lindsey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Steve Demoret, Danny Demoret, and David Demoret; and sisters, Carolyn Dority and Ellen Sue Bankey-Gore.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 407 E. 12th, Hutchinson. Graveside service will follow in Wayne Cemetery, Lewis, with military honors conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard. Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
