Eli Cameron Mead, 16, of McPherson, KS passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023.
Eli was born in Pratt, Kansas on January 7, 2007, the son of Jason Cordel and Jill Elaine (Schneweis) Mead. Eli attended St. Joseph Catholic School, Lincoln elementary school, McPherson Middle School, McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas and Moundridge High School, Moundridge, Kansas. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in McPherson.
Eli enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, loved fire works on the July 4th, swimming, camping, boating, jumping on his trampoline and being outdoors. loved his dog and cat. He loved being with his sister, fast cars, lifted trucks, car shows and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his parents, Jason & Jill Mead of McPherson; sister, Ella Mead of McPherson; grandfather, Robert Schneweis of Dodge City, KS; grandparents, Doug & Lana Chaney and Darwyn & Pat Mead, all of McPherson; aunts & uncles, Ron & Jerelyn Schneweis, Alan & Paula Schneweis, Gary & Rhnae Schneweis, Stacey & Todd Hamilton, Justin & Jill Mead and Jamie & Jake Hedlund; other relatives,cousins and a host of friends.
Eli was preceded in death by his grandmother, Erma Schneweis and his aunt Shelley Schneweis. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in McPherson, KS. Rosary will begin at 7 pm. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in McPherson, KS with Fr. Ben Shockey officiating. Burial will be held at New Gottland Lutheran Church Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.
