LANGDON, Kan. — Students in Fairfield USD 310 are prepared to go to remote learning on Tuesday after the district canceled classes on Friday and all activities for this week.

As of Thursday, the district had more than 20% of the student body out of class and about 39% of the teachers due to an outbreak of COVID.

Materials for students can be picked up starting today at the campus. If you are wanting meals for the week, patrons need to contact Jaqui Conrad at [email protected] or you can call the kitchen at 620-596-2007. Orders for meals must be placed by 2 p.m. today.

Meals may be picked up on Tuesday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until noon. Family members can pick up student meals without the students being present. Meals will not be available Friday or Monday since school is not in session.

For students in the Sylvia area needing Internet services for  remote learning, the Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene will be providing free WiFi service to do schoolwork. Please contact FES Music Teacher James Davis for more information at [email protected].
