HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Kansas Honor Flight will host a veterans appreciation event on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Moose Lodge at 1401 E. 1st Ave.

The dinner will consist of chili dogs, pulled pork and cinnamon rolls. Veterans eat for free. The night will include a 50/50 raffle and an auction to help raise funds for the Honor Flight program.

The Kansas Honor Flight is an all-volunteer organization that works to honor Kansas veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War by providing them with an all-expenses paid trip of honor and remembrance to visit their memorials in Washington, D.C.

The organization also works to educate the youth and communities throughout Kansas about the impact of these historic wars and the freedoms our nation enjoys because of the service of our veterans.
