HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Health Department is holding a car seat check lane Feb. 24 and Mar. 24 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Health Department at 209 West 2nd in Hutchinson.
Local car seat technicians will be available to help properly fit your car seat in your vehicle and teach you how to make sure it is properly installed to keep your little ones safe.
Buckling children in age and size appropriate car seats, booster seats and seat belts reduces the risk of serious and fatal injuries by more than 70%. However, about 46% of all car and booster seats are installed in a way that could reduce their effectiveness.
