
Buhler USD 313 has been recognized by the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) and the Kansas State Board of Education for outstanding performance in the 2025 Kansans Can Star Recognition Program, which highlights district success in key educational outcomes identified by Kansans as most valuable.
In a letter from Kansas Commissioner of Education Dr. Randy Watson and Kansas State Board of Education Chair Cathy Hopkins, Buhler was praised for “the exceptional work your district is doing to reach the state’s vision for education – Kansas leads the world in the success of each student.”
For the 2025 recognition cycle, Buhler received the following awards:
• Kindergarten Readiness: Copper
• Academically Prepared for Postsecondary: Copper
• Graduation: Bronze
• Postsecondary Effectiveness: Gold
• 2025 Commissioner’s Award: Commissioner’s Award with Honors
The Kansans Can Star Recognition Program measures district progress toward goals including kindergarten readiness, postsecondary preparedness, graduation, and overall student success. Recognition levels range from Copper to Gold, with the Commissioner’s Award representing the highest level of distinction.
KSDE commended Buhler USD 313 for its continued dedication to helping every student succeed and for its role in advancing the state’s educational vision.
