SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Sedgwick County judge this week sentenced 24-year-old Morgan Prager of Pittsburg, Kansas to more than 20-years in prison for  fatally stabbing his sister's ex-boyfriend during a fight, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.

In January 2020, police responded to an assault call and found 19-year-old Vincent Venturella suffering from a severe neck laceration. Police say he and Prager had fought about Prager's sister. Venturella died two days later.

Police arrested Prager in Pittsburg. Kansas.  Prager had been discharged days earlier from community corrections after previous convictions for theft and criminal possession of a firearm in Wyandotte County, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
