Jon Wayne Drouhard, 85, died June 2, 2024, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson.  He was born March 1, 1939, in Anthony, to Joseph Albert and Pearl Margaret (Blubaugh) Drouhard.

Jon graduated from Harper High School in 1957, and served in the National Guard. He worked as a salesman for Berry Tractor & Equipment Company, in Wichita.  Jon also owned “Jon’s Tree Trimming”.  After retirement, he would meet his buddies at Applewood Restaurant in South Hutchinson, where they would solve the world’s problems over a cup of coffee. Jon was devout Catholic and a member of Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, and a past member of the Knights of Columbus #7279.  

On August 19, 1960, he married Rita Johanna Becker, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs.  

Jon is survived by:  his wife of almost 64 years, Rita of Hutchinson; children, Jonelle Yunk (Robert) of Oklahoma; Dalaine Pitts (Rick) of Hutchinson, Jon Douglas Drouhard of Derby, and Craig Drouhard (Cyndie Duncan) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jamie Azar (Marc), Julie Johnson (Jake), Jared Yunk (Sierra), Jessica Self (Mike), Christopher Pitts (Kylie), Amanda Drouhard, Allison Drouhard, and Cale Dattilo; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Karla Chase, Julie Hostetler (Delmar), and Elizabeth Becker (Melvin).

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; brothers, Tom Drouhard, Nick Drouhard, and Joseph Drouhard; and brother-in-law, John Chase.

Parish Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m., both at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Road, Hutchinson, with Father William P. Stuever officiating.  Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Danville, KS, with Father Kyle Dugan officiating.   Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family to receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
