Marie Theresa (Amaro) Quinn, 80, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. She was born February 28, 1945 in Kinsley, Kansas, the daughter of Juan M. and Damacia (Ramos) Amaro.
Marie attended Kinsley High School, Kinsley, KS, and graduated with the class of 1963. After graduation, she worked as a medical transcriber for local hospitals in Wichita and Hutchinson.
Marie loved to socialize with friends and family. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing. An avid sports fan, she loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and the KU Jayhawks.
A woman of strong faith, she was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Wichita, KS; along with holding a membership with Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Juan and Damacia Amaro; her husband, Wilfred Quinn; her sisters, Lucy McDonough, Lina Rodriguez; and her brothers, Reyes, Eddie, Alfonso, and Manuel Amaro.
She is survived by: her sisters, Ramona Marquez of Hutchinson, Kansas, Rose Johnson of Kinsley, Kansas, and Cecilia Raya of Hutchinson, Kansas; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 10:00 AM; Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, both on Friday, December 12, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2007 North Arkansas Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67203. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Freedom, Wichita.
