HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council is back to its full group of five council members after the two members appointed by the other three councilmen took their seats on Tuesday.
Stacy Goss is the at-large representative, replacing Sara Bagwell.
Stuart Conklin is the northeast district representative, replacing Jade Piros de Carvalho.
Both Goss and Conklin will fill in through 2023. There is an election for their seats in the fall. The at-large seat is elected every two years. The four seats determined by district are elected every four years.
As a formal matter, the council adopted new boundary lines for the four council districts on Tuesday following the movement of people counted in the 2020 census and the voting precinct reorganization done by the legislature. All five council members remain in the same district after the redraw.
