HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Fire Units conducted controlled burns today on 82nd between Plum and Monroe on the south side and on 95th near Halstead.
82nd was closed for a time Monday afternoon and a single lane of 95th will also be closed.
These burns are part of the larger wildfire mitigation program that was supposed to start last week, but was delayed due to weather conditions.
