Position: Receptionist/Cashier
Status: Part-Time
Shift: Day Shift
Salary Range: $12.75-$18.76 per hour
Description
The Receptionist/Cashier performs routine clerical and administrative work, answers telephones, transfers calls, receives the public, provides customer assistance, performs basic data processing and recordkeeping, and provides cashier services.
This position is the first to activate the Emergency Response Procedures.
Schedule
46 hours per two-week pay period:
- Every Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
- Every other weekend from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. with weekend pay.
- Every other holiday from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. with double pay.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic clerical skills required, including neat handwriting, typing, basic computer skills and basic math.
- Ability to accurately handle cash transactions and balance the cash drawer.
- Preference given to applicants who have a good understanding of the dynamics of human relationships and communications.
Must Be Able To
- Perform repetitious work.
- Work with many distractions from other workers, residents and guests.
- Be flexible with the work schedule when vacations and illnesses occur.
- Practice positive dynamics of human relationships and communications.
- Read, speak, write, understand and follow instructions in English.
- Be flexible to change and think clearly when circumstances become hectic.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to residents, staff and visitors.
