Jacob Groves added 15 points, Marvin Johnson made two foul shots with five seconds left to finish with 12, and the Sooners avenged two regular-season losses to the Bears with a win that could go a long way toward an NCAA Tournament bid. Timmy Allen led the Longhorns with 16 points and nine rebounds. Courtney Ramey had 15 points and nine boards.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Bruce Weber has resigned as the basketball coach at Kansas State. He led the Wildcats to five NCAA tournaments in his first seven seasons, including a share of two Big 12 regular-season titles. He took Illinois to the 2005 national champion game and his career record is 407 wins against 301 losses, with 13 appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Madisen Smith tossed in 19 points and West Virginia dominated the first half in a 68-48 victory over TCU in the first round of the Big 12 Conference tournament.
