LeRoy B. Heimerman |1934-2023|

LeRoy B. Heimerman, 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Garden Plain on Thursday, February 2, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 7, 1934 in Garden Plain to Leo & Mary Heimerman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Heimerman; sister, Dolores Albert; and brothers, Donald and Eugene. He is survived by sister, Darlene Yost of Wichita; children, Chris (Denise) Heimerman of Garden Plain, KS, Lisa Heimerman of Dallas, TX, Lori (Kelly) Byers of Maize, KS, Kurt (Pam) Heimerman of Wichita, KS; 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

After getting his start as a brick mason, LeRoy and his brother Gene started Heimerman Masonry, working in the field for almost 50 years. He was a Korean War Veteran as well as a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He spent endless hours gardening at the farm, hanging with friends, and enjoyed watching westerns and sports. He was a beloved and dedicated husband, father, grandpa, and friend.

Memorials have been established with the National Federation of the Blind, 200 E. Wells Street at Jernigan Place, Baltimore, MD 21230 and Knights of Columbus-St. George Council #2937, 615 N. Main Garden Plain, KS 67050.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, February 6th from 2-4pm at Wulf-Ast Mortuary Chapel in Garden Plain. The Rosary service is at 7pm on Monday, February 6th and the Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, February 7th at 10:30am, both at St. Anthony of Padua, Garden Plain.
