EMS agreement to be revised Wednesday

RENO COUNTY, Kan. — A revision to the agreement between Reno County and Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System is on the consent agenda for the Board of County Commissioners on Wednesday.

According to agenda documents, Reno County has had an agreement with the Hutchinson hospital under various official names since September 1971 to provide county-wide ambulance services. The last agreement was modified in December 2003.

The agreement needed to be reviewed for general purposes but the main point for the revision at this time is for paragraph 9 to include purchases with county ARPA funds to be part of the property that would revert back to the county, if the agreement was ever nullified.

An ARPA agreement for approval by the county commission and Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Inc will be on an upcoming consent agenda. Once the ARPA agreement is in place, the hospital will move forward with the Arlington EMS station project that is dependent on ARPA funds.

The Board of County Commissioners meets at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Veterans Room at the Reno County Courthouse.
