Nolan Cornell Smith, 75, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born on July 3, 1949 in Hutchinson to Robert Clark and Delores Caroline (Hoffman) Smith.
Nolan served in The United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He then attended and graduated from Pratt Community College with his Associates in Electrical Science. Upon graduation he enlisted in The United States Navy. He was a member of Turon Community Church and lifetime member of the VFW.
He is survived by his brothers, Rodney (Sharen) Smith of Katy, Texas and Maurice Smith of Topeka, Kansas; and nieces and nephews, Suzanne Smith, Eric Smith, Lisa Reisz, Sheldon Smith, Todd Smith, Brian Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Daniel Smith, Steven Smith, Nathan Smith, Heidi Smith Herrera, Jesse Smith and Jeremiah Smith.
Nolan is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Manuel Smith and Randall Smith; and sisters in-law, Joan Smith and Sheila Smith.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 27, 2024 at Turon Community Church, Turon with Pastor Steve Gill presiding. Inurnment will follow at Turon Cemetery, Turon.
Memorials may be made to Turon Senior Center in care of Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.
