NICKERSON, Kan. — Enrollment is under way in the Nickerson USD 309 school district for the Central State Academy virtual school.
Last year the academy celebrated 30 high school graduates. Central State Academy offers a fully accredited curriculum and 24/7 access to students to allow them to work at their own pace and structure. The school also has a close working relationship with Hutchinson Community College to offer dual credits to high school students who wish to take advantage of early college and CTE programs.
