HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Lip Sync Nine is back to raise money for Stage 9 later this year.

"We encourage area businesses, groups of friends, neighborhoods, whoever you want to grab, to form a team and lip sync to your favorite song," said Theresa Teufel with Stage 9.

The idea is that groups will get 'votes' through monetary donations to Stage 9.

"We're talking costumes, choreography, lip sync your hearts out and just have a ball with it," Teufel said. "It's probably our main annual fundraiser, that helps us with the costs for the building, the theater and everything associated with that."

They'd like to have teams together by May 20.

"It's free for the teams," Teufel said. "If you put a team together and you get ready to start, there is no cost. We want teams to come out and participate. If you have friends who want to come watch you strut your stuff on stage, all of our tickets for viewers is a flat $15 a person. This event is held at Sandhills Brewing. I do believe that we are having a special brew made just for us for this event."
