HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers teamed up with the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) and Special Olympics Kansas for the annual "Custard with Cops" fundraiser on July 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
According to Andrew Soule with the Torch Run, the event made $3300 across the state from the Freddy's contribution, not counting any additional donations.
Freddy's donated 15% of all sales to Special Olympics Kansas during that period. Additionally, law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes were present at participating locations, collecting extra donations to further support their mission of empowering athletes with intellectual disabilities through sports.
