HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Because of the bitter cold weather forecast this week, Hutchinson Public Works announced that the start of the Apple Lane project has been delayed.
The project is now expected to begin Feb. 15. The first phase of the project includes removing the existing wooden bridge just north of 17th Avenue and replacing it with a box culvert. The project is expected to take about six weeks to complete. Detours will be provided during that phase of construction.
Work will also include a complete rebuilding of the road between 17th and 30th avenues later. For more information on this or any other street project, contact Hutchinson Public Works at 694-1900.
