
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Four people were taken into custody on numerous drug charges in Hutchinson Thursday afternoon.
Police took Vernon Nusser into custody on charges of distribution and possession within 1,000 feet of a school, Robert Carter was arrested for drug possession and distribution within 1,000 feet of a school, Taryn Carter and Jacob Churchill were both arrested for drug possession.
Hutchinson police were doing a community corrections check on a residence at 19 N. Elm around 2 p.m. Thursday. A search of the room turned up drugs connected to each of the four individuals.
Bond for Nusser is set at $22,500, the bond for Robert Carter was set at $23,000. Taryn Carter’s bond was $5,500 and the bond for Churchill is $6,000.
Formal charges are expected to be filed next week.
