SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a weekend homicide in Wichita have identified the victim as 50-year-old Ronnie Wallace of Wichita, according to Wichita Police Officer Kris Gupilan.
Just before 8p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 600 block of N. Topeka in Wichita.
First responders located a Wallace lying in a parking lot with a fatal gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators are actively pursuing leads to establish the sequence of events leading to the shooting and to identify the suspect involved.
