HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson USD 308 hopes to have a new Human Resources Director named by the end of the month.
Current HR Director Rick Kraus announced he will retire in June. Kraus says they have had good responses to the job opening. If all goes as planned, the board will have a person to consider during its Feb. 22 meeting. Kraus announced his retirement last month with the board giving approval during its Jan. 18 meeting.
Kraus came to Hutchinson in 1994 and taught math for a year. He then was an assistant principal at HHS for eight years, followed by a year as a special projects person for the district.
The last 16 years, Kraus has been Executive Director for Human Resources in the district and served as assistant superintendent the last several years.
Before USD 308, he spent five years as a math teacher at Emporia.
