Dorothy Jane Hill-Yoder, 83, died March 27, 2020 at her home in Wichita, KS. She was born September 5, 1936 in Hutchinson, KS., the daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Finfrock) Haines. She graduated from Haven High School in 1954. Janie was a longtime Haven resident, moving to Wichita in 2002. Janie was employed at the First National Bank of Hutchinson and was a branch manager at the Salt City Federal Savings and Loan of Haven. She was also a school bus driver in Haven, retiring in 2003. Janie was a Wichita Lyons Club member. She enjoyed bowling and travel in retirement. She was also an avid Wichita State Shocker Men’s Basketball fan.

Janie married Clarence Dean Hill on October 12, 1957 in Reno, Nevada. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1984. She married Omer Yoder on July 12, 2003 in Sarasota, Florida. He died on February 24, 2017.

Survivors include two daughters, Lori (Jeremy) Moats and Shelli Hill, both of Wichita, KS.; four grandchildren, Gage Hill, Ramon Moats, Ryan Moats and Liya Moats all of Wichita, KS.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas R. Haines.

The family would like to like to express their gratitude to Encompass Home Health and Hospice for the last two weeks of care that were given to Janie.

Friends may pay their respects to Janie on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ott Funeral Home, Haven, KS. (The family will not be present.) Due to concerns with the coronavirus, a private family burial will be Wednesday at Laurel Cemetery in Haven, KS.
