FORD COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 2:30p.m. Friday in Ford County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Kia Sedona driven by Tammy S. Carter, 52, Ensign, was westbound on U.S. 56 at Mcartor Road. The vehicle traveled left of center and collided with an eastbound 2014 Western Star semi driven by Jefferson Lionel Waker, 37, Garden City.
Carter was pronounced dead at the scene. Walker was not injured.
She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
FORD COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal crash in Ford County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a vehicle was westbound on U.S. 56 at Mcartor Road just before 2:30p.m. Friday. The vehicle traveled left of center and collided with an eastbound vehicle. The KHP released no additional details.
