Police arrest 5 for home invasion attack on Kansas woman

SEDGWICK COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a  home invasion attack and have five suspects in custody.

On November 29, 2019, police responded to a burglary report at a storage facility in the 1800 block of West 21st Street North in Wichita, according to officer Charley Davidson.

 A 19-year-old female employee of the storage facility  reported a burglary of two storage units at the business.  Through the investigation, investigators learned of 36-year-old Mikeal Brown’s involvement in the burglaries.

Just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday March 25, officers responded to a residential robbery call at a home in the 3900 block of West 13th Street North in Wichita. 

Upon arrival, officers located a damaged front door on the home and contacted a 35-year-old resident.  She reported the front door being forced open, and several known individuals entering her home, battering her, and taking items.

Police quickly were able locate five suspects and arrest Brown on two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of theft, and one count of robbery, according to Davidson.

Police also arrested 40-year-old Jason Stone of Wichita on one count of robbery; 56-year-old Brenda Dickerson of Wichita on charges of robbery and domestic battery; Calvin Allen of Wichita for one count of robbery, and Sherika Barnes of Wichita on charges of robbery and domestic battery.
